Emma Hardinge Britten
Emma Hardinge Britten was a Spiritualist medium and trance-state lecturer. Emma traveled throughout the world and also wrote on subjects such as theosophy, the esoteric, and 'new-thought.' In 1865 Emma returned to England and was invited by a Spiritualist society in London to give these lectures. At each lecture Emma spoke for over an hour, in a semi-trance state using no notes.
