Noumic has unique features that reduces interference with the
relaxation and meditation process. It gives only three basic signals
that, after a while, your mind learns to accept with a minimum of
effort and interference. The mind soon learns, instinctively, what
the three basic signals made by noumic mean and therefore does not
have to consciously analyse or interpret them. On the Noumic Device
there are no switches, no dials or things that need to be fiddled
with as I designed it to be self calibrating
and to adjust itself automatically to the individual using it. In
fact, unlike other relaxation and meditation devices, noumic has
‘take me to bed’ appeal, as it is simple to use with no wires, no
monitor screens, and if you fall to sleep and let go of Noumic it
goes to sleep as well. Other meditation devices look like electronic
apparatuses but I designed noumic to appear as a unique object in
its own right, one with a mystical yet modern design, it is scientific
yet easy to use.
Teachers of relaxation and meditation, for mind development or
spiritual purposes, explain that body relaxation and quietening
the mind are conducive and even necessary to progress. For many years I found it difficult to
properly relax and meditate as my life experience, my television watching, my constant studying and
thinking, and the stimulation of our busy world had made it difficult for me to
truly switch off my mind. I believe that this is the case for millions of people
today, the ability to relax and to stop the normal flow of thoughts does not come
naturally, it has to be learned and this learning is a difficult
process to master.
